No sir, this is MY Windows Phone (and it’s damn beautiful).

So as it turns out, like everyone at Microsoft has a Windows Phone. I guess that’s what happens when you give them to all employees for free. Or maybe, just *maybe* they all actually love the phone and are actually proud of the product their company produced! I mean – hey, that was a close second reason for me. 😉

Anyway, to make matters worse, there are only about 10 different Windows Phone models out there, and something like 3 different GSM ones. WHICH MEANS, everyone picked the same god darn phone because there was really only one good one: the Samung Focus.

It really struck me one meeting when I put my phone on the table, and realized at more than half the people in the meeting had their Samsung Focuses on the table as well…… and well, I didn’t feel very special. Now back when I was still at UBC in Vancouver – I must’ve been like one of the 50 people in our 45k-student school with the phone… and lemme tell you – it felt good.

SO, I went hunting on some ways to differentiate myself, and found a really sweet site that makes custom skins for my phone (and many other phones), called Gelaskins. They have so really wicked prebuilt designs – but I knew that choosing one of those could *potentially* result in someone else with the same phone as me… and I was determined *not* to let that happen! So I flipped through my 40GB of personal photos, and found some really awesome ones from my trip to Japan!

I’ve made two different designs, and still deciding which one I like more. But here goes:

The EPIC Tokyo nightlight… and the calm, serene Floating Torii in Miyajima:

And I loved the Miyajima shot a lot… so I made one more: Miyajima by day, Miyajima by night:

Nice?
